SOAR
Transforming Lives with Specialized Support
SOAR (Social, Occupational, Academic, Recreational) specializes in providing tailored support services for adults with the most challenging behaviors. This small group program is dedicated to assisting adults with developmental disabilities who require intensive staffing, offering the focused care they need to thrive.
Our Mission
At SOAR, our mission is to empower individuals with developmental disabilities to become active, accepted, and welcomed participants in their communities. We are committed to enabling them to make choices and experience life’s diverse possibilities.
Program Goals
Social Success: Helping individuals develop meaningful social connections.
Living Skills: Teaching essential daily living skills for greater independence.
Vocational Skills: Providing training to develop valuable job-related skills.
Community Engagement
Although primarily a site-based program, SOAR offers a variety of enriching community outings. Activities include exercise sessions at a local gym and explorations of nearby public sites, promoting physical health and community integration.
COVE
COVE is a community-based program that provides activities to suit each individual’s interests and abilities.
Day program attendees are picked up and taken to the COVE program where they get into groups structured around different activities. A typical day includes taking part in a work, recreational and social activity. We structure our client’s day based on the individual, their abilities and personal preference.
Individuals involved in the day program have the opportunity to gain experience working and volunteering in the community with job opportunities.
